Pour: Black like a cup of strong coffee. Head was caramel amber like the foam from root beer.
Nose: Roasted Malts, Coffee, Slight sweetness.
Taste: Smoky hickory, chocolate, coffee, slight moleasses syrupy note. Some sweetness. Creamy.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied, Few small soft bubbles.
Overall: I would pair this with anything Cajun style, but you could even match it with Brie toasted almonds and French baguette. Nutty qualities as well as mushrooms would complement it as well.
